Thirsty Cities

.

We investigate the potential of urban soil biodiversity to alleviate drought stress in urban green spaces, with a focus on tree-microbe interactions.

This project is funded by the NWA-DroBE call (from NWO; started in 2025) and is part of WP2 of a national consortium in which we contribute by integrating ecological insights of tree-microbe interactions with urban water resource management and designing future-proof urban green spaces.
