Naksha Kasal

Research Assistant

I started my journey in biology primarily driven by a passion to tackle climate change challenges and researching green health alternatives. With a Master's degree in Microbiology, and internships in biologicals for agriculture and wastewater treatment strategy, I now embark on a journey as a Research technician in the Silva Nova project.

Growing up in a tropical country, I loved spending time around animals and nature, and hated the gradual decline of forest cover. This became a major driver for my decision to study biology, and thus, I am very excited to contribute in the Silva Nova project's afforestation initiatives (a passion of mine), combined with the use of microbes (a curiosity of mine). I am also passionate about science communication challenges, and am currently volunteering as an editor in 'The Good Scientists' initiative.

After-hours, you will definitely find me at the gym, cooking or indulging in anime/dramas.
